Sunday Faleye has dedicated his late match winner for Nigeria against Libya tonight to God, while also assuring the injury that forced him out of the CHAN Group C clash is not serious.
The 19-year-old winger connected home a corner by Osas Okoro in the 79th minute to give Nigeria maximum points on the day and take them top of the standings.
The home-based Eagles now have four points, while Libya are on three points.
“God is the greatest,” an excited Faleye told SCORENigeria
“It was a tough game, but we survived it and we are now looking forward to our next game against Equatorial Guinea.”
He was the most outstanding player on Monday in the goalless draw with Rwanda.
But he was forced out of tonight’s game by an injury just minutes after his decisive goal.
He assured he will be fit for the team’s next game in Agadir Tuesday night.
“I am okay now. I had problems with my toe caused by the boots I wore,” said the exciting forward, who had to dump his new pair of boots for the old ones he has been using.
