Nigerian coach Joseph Chukwuemeka Afusi has told SCORENigeria he is delighted to give Indian League team Churchill Brothers a new lease of life after he led them to first win of the season courtesy of a 3-2 victory over hosts Gokulam FC.
Afusi, who won medals and trophies in Bangladesh, told ScoreNigeria.com.ng that he hopes to stabilise the team and better their lots after a rather bad start to the new season.
“I am here to put in my best and put the team back on track,” he said.
“I came here in December and have been unbeaten in the two games I have handled, we drew first and won away.
“We will take it one game at a time.”
