Bako Kontagora Stadium pitch waiting for inspection

Niger Tornadoes are confident they will get the nod from a League Management Company (LMC) inspection team for them to soon return to play their home games at the Bako Kontagora Stadium in Minna.

Tornadoes have played their home games in the last two seasons in Lokoja at great cost and to the dismay of their teeming fans.

The LMC inspectors are due in Minna to run the rule on the renovated stadium.

“The pitch at the stadium is now in excellent condition and only needs to be cut to a good level and then marked for it to be ready for us,” a top Tornadoes official informed SCORENigeria

“The dressing rooms have also been fully renovated and also ready for us.”

Officials said they believe the club will return to Minna early in the new season after playing some games in Lokoja.

Last season, it was understood Tornadoes spent three million Naira for each home game at their adopted home ground of Lokoja.
