Former Remo Stars striker Eric Dufegha has said he hopes to finish as top scorer in the NPFL with new club Katsina United.
The striker joined Katsina United from Remo Stars during the close season and has hit the ground running by scoring six goals in pre-season for ‘The Chanji Boys’.
He said: “I did well with Remo Stars last season and that is the reason I was signed here and I hope to also do well with Katsina United and get something like being the highest goal scorer in the league.”
The former Supreme Court FC of Abuja also fired warning to Kano Pillars ahead of the NPFL opening match on Saturday at the Mohammadu Dikko Stadium in Katsina
“We want to prove to them that football has grown beyond names by defeating them hands down,” he said.
“We beat them here last season and I am very confident that we are going to do it again and this time around it is going to be by a bigger margin.”
The 24-year-old striker, who scored five goals for Remo Stars last season, is expected to lead the Katsina United strike force on Saturday.
