The home-based Super Eagles will finally depart Abuja for Morocco tomorrow night via Turkish Airlines, officials have informed SCORENigeria

“We are now scheduled to depart for the tournament in Morocco tomorrow night,” coach Salisu Yusuf told SCORENigeria

“We plan to train for some days in Rabat before we head off to our match centre Tangier.”

It was gathered they could not get enough seats on Air Moroc for a direct flight to Morocco and so they now have to fly via Istanbul to North Africa.

Nigeria’s opening group game is fixed for January 15 against Rwanda.

Libya and Equatorial Guinea are the other teams in their group.

Salisu Yusuf has named a final 23-man squad for the biennial championship strictly for players who feature in their domestic leagues.
