The new management of Niger Tornadoes led by Mustapha Gawu has dismissed coach Abubakar Bala.
Bala himself confirmed his dismissal.
“I have been sacked as technical adviser of Niger Tornadoes,” he said.
“I am indeed grateful for the opportunity, blessings and successes.”
Coach led the Minna club to the final of last year’s Aiteo Cup, where they lost to Akwa United on penalties.
Tornadoes also steered clear of relegation despite the fact that they have been playing at their adopted home in Lokoja while the stadium in Minna has been undergoing a major renovation.
However, there have been bribery allegations leveled against the team’s leadership.
Such allegations were brought to the fore during a programme on the state-owned Prestige FM Radio Station this week.
