Chinedu Udechukwu, who Katsina United have placed a 20 million Naira price tag on, was in terrific form as he spear-headed Enugu Rangers beat Mourinho FC 2-0 in their second match of the South East/South South preseason tournament at Nnewi, Scorenigeria.com.ng reports.
The big striker, who Rangers have offered to pay Katsina United three million Naira as transfer fee, has also denied he has previously signed for Rivers United.
After an uneventful first period, Udechukwu put the Coal City ‘Flying Antelopes’ in front on 69 minutes.
He also initiated a move as Mourinho fouled an attacker inside the area for a penalty which was converted by Chiama Madu.
Rangers now have four points in Group B going into today’s final group games.
Udechukwu who was earlier reported to have signed for Rivers United told Scorenigeria.com.ng he never did so.
“I never signed for Rivers United. I only went to Port Harcourt to see the coach and that was all”, the hugely-built Udechukwu said.
Asked about the picture in the media that showed him signing a document presumed to be contract papers, Udechukwu it was a media creation.
“That was a media stuff because I don’t know about the picture”, he insisted.
