Akor Adams (extreme right) – Jamba Academy

Jamba Academy of Kaduna striker Akor Adams was the star of this year’s Atta Aneke Scouting Tournament staged in Abuja this past week.

The tall, free-scoring centre-forward stood out as his team beat Mbiase Lions from Jos, who are supported by former Super Eagles striker Benedict Akwuegbu.

He scored and assisted in a 3-1 win for Jamba Academy and was outstanding in a specially organised drill thereafter.

Several Norwegian clubs and Norrkoping of Sweden were represented at this event.

An excited Aneke said the scouting tournament was the best in terms of talent he has discovered.

“Last year’s event was great, but there was a lot more talent to see and pick from this time,” he gushed.

The likes of CSKA Moscow striker Aaron Samuel, Samuel Adegbenro from Rosenborg, Fred Friday of AZ Alkmaar, Chidera Ejuke from Valerenga and Moses Ebiyie, who is now with Lillestrom, moved to Europe from this annual scouting programme.
