Skipper Mikel Obi has saluted coach Gernot Rohr, saying he has got the team to pay attention to details which was not the case with previous national team coaches.
Rohr, 64, has guided Nigeria to a sixth World Cup appearance a year after he took charge of the three-time African champions.
“The coach has got us to pay attention to details,” Mikel praised.
“Now we know the team we will be up against, who will mark you, who you will mark and so on.
“This was not the case with the previous coaches.”
Franco-German coach Rohr is known to spy on opponents and with the help of his trusted videographer Nabil provide the Eagles with up-to-date dossiers of the other team and their players.
The Eagles dinning area also displays giant-sized photos of players of the other team with all their key attributes.
Rohr’s scouting team also covers more than 50 Nigerian players on a weekly basis to know how they fare at their various clubs abroad.
