King Osanga of FC Ifeanyiubah (right) vs Rivers United

Experienced winger and former Nigeria junior international King Osanga is close to completing a switch to champions Plateau United after a season at FC Ifeanyiubah, reports.

Osanga is the latest in the rank of top quality players who have held transfer talks with CAF Champions League-bound Plateau United.

“We are looking to add King Osanga to our ranks for the coming season,” an official told

“He in our office few days ago and has held talks with our officials.

“It was a successful one, that’s the much I can say for now.”

Osanga will be a quality addition to coach Kennedy Boboye’s squad pursuant to their African clubs’ silverware next year.

He won the 2007 FIFA U17 World Cup in Korea with late Yemi Tella’s Golden Eaglets.

Two years later, in 2009 to be precise, Osanga helped Heartland reach the CAF Champions League, losing on away goal rule to TP Mazembe following a 2-2 aggregate scoreline.

The tricky winger was in the fray when FC Ifeanyiubah crashed out of their maiden CAF Confederation Cup preliminary round clash on penalty kicks to Al-Masry of Egypt earlier in the year.
