Ahmed Musa joined Leicester City for 17 million pounds last year

Arsenal legend and TV pundit Ian Wright described Friday that the signing of Nigeria stars Ahmed Musa, Wilfred Ndidi and Kelechi Iheanacho, among several other recent signings were “poor”.

Leicester City have sacked manager Craig Shakespeare and are sucked into the relegation zone.

“Signings like (Islam) Slimani, Ahmed Musa, Ndidi and Iheanacho were poor,” the outspoken Wright said on Skysports TV Friday.

He also questioned the reasoning behind most of the summer signings, saying they do not fit into the style of the shock Premier League champions two seasons ago.

The British media have long speculated that there is discontent in the dressing room because many recent signings were earning more than players who helped the club win the Premier League two seasons ago.

Ahmed Musa has yet to play a league game for ‘The Foxes’, while Iheanacho has not scored in any competition for them since his 25 million pounds transfer from Manchester City.
