Super Falcons star Asisat Oshoala has charged students of Caleb Secondary School Lagos to be the best they can be on Girl Education Day Wednesday.
Oshoala is headlining the maiden edition of the Lagos State Secondary School Girls Football clinic next month.
The competition, which is endorsed by the Nigeria Football Federation (NFF) and the Lagos State Football Association, is supported by the office of the First Lady of Lagos State, her Excellency Bolanle Ambode, in partnership with the reigning CAF women Footballer of the Year Oshoala as part of her efforts to grow the game in Nigeria.
The five-day will see coaches and scouts from Arsenal and China visit Lagos to train Lagos State secondary school girls.
About 5000 girls from different secondary schools are expected to take part in the competition during which footballs, boots, jerseys, school bags and other educational and sports equipment will be given out to all participants.
Two-time CAF Footballer of the Year Oshoala has already won the league crown and top scorer award in her first season in China after she featured for Liverpool Ladies and Arsenal Ladies in England.
