Former Enugu Rangers coach Imama Amapakabo is set to return to NPFL action in the coming season with Abia Warriors and Rivers United leading a charge for his signature.
Amapakabo was fired by Rangers after a run of poor results last season.
SCORENigeria has now learnt that Abia Warriors, Rivers United and well about-to-be-promoted Heartland are in the chase for the young coach.
Imama himself confirmed to SCORENigeria several clubs have contacted him ahead of the new season, but nothing has been agreed yet.
“I am open to offers and will carefully study them with my lawyer so as to know the right direction to work ahead of the new season,” he told SCORENigeria
“I am ready to return to the league after I rejected some offers in mid-season of the just concluded season so as to focus on the Super Eagles job and as well the CHAN qualifiers and the WAFU Cup.”
