Coach Kennedy Boboye has told only SCORENigeria NPFL champions Plateau United have submitted a proposal to train in the island-country of Seychelles as part of their build-up for next year’s CAF Champions League.
Boboye led Plateau United to make history with a first-ever NPFL title this past season, but the Jos club are not leaving anything to chance to ensure they do well on their Champions League debut.
“We have had a meeting during which we considered an overseas camping site. We looked at Portugal, Ghana and Seychelles and we agreed that Seychelles is a calm place and there will be no distraction,” he told SCORENigeria
“It will be the best option for us.
“We will prepare early so as to do well in the Champions League.”
Incidentally, Nigeria are drawn in the same qualifying group with Seychelles for AFCON 2019 and the Eagles visit the island-nation in March.
Boboye also told SCORENigeria he is proud to be associated with the history written by Plateau United.
“I give thanks to God that I was part of history with Plateau United,” he offered.
“It was during my time that Plateau United broke the jinx.”
