Michael Ohanu goes for goal for Kwara United

Free-scoring Kwara United striker Michael Ohanu has said he expects his team to contest for the NPFL championship on their return to the top league next season.

Former FC Ifeanyiubah ace Ohanu, 19, has fired 21 goals to top the scorers’ chart in the NNL Northern Conference and also lift ‘The Afonja Warriors’ back to the top league after a two-season absence.

“I believe that we can contest to play in the CAF Champions League in the NPFL come next season,” the tall centre-forward told SCORENigeria

“We will continue to work very hard and I know that target is achievable.”

Ebonyi-born Ohanu has dedicated his goals tally, which will now be the all-time record in the NNL to dust the previous mark of 19 goals achieved in 1990, to his parents.
