Katsina United midfielder Destiny Ashadi is in line to make his Super Eagles debut against Mali tomorrow in continuation of the WAFU Cup in Ghana.
“The coach is having a look at Destiny (Ashadi) and he could debut against Mali,” a team official informed SCORENigeria
Nigeria battle an impressive Mali, who eliminated Mauritania, tomorrow in their opening Group A match in Cape Coast by 4pm Nigeria time.
Ashadi, 22, was an unused substitute in the playoff against Sierra Leone Monday night.
He is likely to replace El Kanemi Warriors ace Samuel Matthias, who has struggled to find his feet, just as was the case against Benin in Kano in a CHAN qualifier.
The former Kogi United star has scored five goals and seven assists to ensure Katsina United stay up in the NPFL after they won the NNL the previous season.
