Vice-chairman of Lobi Stars Mike Idoko has received a huge vote of confidence from the executive Governor of Benue State Samuel Ortom.
Idoko led Lobi Stars to finish seventh in the NPFL this past season.
And on Wednesday, Governor Ortom praised Idoko’s enterprise when he led some top football stakeholders in the country including NFF executive committee member Suleiman Yahaya Kwande to pay the Benue State chief executive a courtesy call in Makurdi.
“We employed you Mike Idoko during the hard times and you have delivered,” saluted Governor Ortom.
“We are happy with you for taking Lobi Stars to seventh position on the league table with the very little resources we gave you to prove you are a top administrator in the country when it comes to football.”
The Governor therefore pledged to continue to support football as it has proved to be a key tool to erase violence in the country.
Idoko has organised a benefit football game in Makurdi to raise funds to assist victims of the recent flood that ravaged a part of Benue State.
