Former Nigeria international Garba Lawal has been named in a technical study Group for this year’s WAFU Cup in Ghana.
“Yes, I have been appointed on the study group for the WAFU Cup,” he confirmed to SCORENigeria
“I believe this appointment will be beneficial not only to me, but also Nigerian football.”
Garba Lawal is a long-serving member of the Nigeria Football Federation (NFF) technical committee.
‘Chindo’ holds a CAF C license and has attended several coaching clinics since he brought to an end his playing career.
The tactically disciplined midfielder won Olympic Gold in 1996 and featured in two World Cups – 1998 and 2002.
The former Roda JC star is already in Ghana for the tournament.
