Rivers United coach Stanley Eguma has said they will be gunning for maximum points at home on Sunday against Enyimba in a determined bid to avoid relegation.
The Port Harcourt club were shocked out of the Aiteo Cup on Wednesday by lower league side J.Atete and Eguma said all focus is now on the NPFL clash against Enyimba.
Rivers United are 14th on the table with 45 points from 34 matches, while Enyimba are fourth on 54 points.
‘The Pride of Rivers’ are only two points clear of the drop zone.
“We expect a tough game especially as Enyimba are still in with a chance to win the title,” stated Eguma.
“We will do everything to win because we cannot afford to drop points at home.
“We will work very hard to win so as to stay clear of relegation.”
