Nigeria representatives at this year’s Gothia Cup China FC Hearts of Abuja have extended their winning streak at the global youth tournament after they smashed past COP Colombia 5-0 today.
The Abuja club won their opening game of the international tournament 14-0 against LNCM University of China.
“It was a good team performance again and we kept another clean sheet,” reported coach Saad Maaji.
“We gave everything in the first half and were rewarded with four goals, before we completed our victory with another goal in the second half.”
Striker Hassan Lawrence took his goals’ haul in the annual competition to seven after he grabbed a brace today against the Colombians.
Francis Nwankwo ‘Lala’ now has five goals after he also netted twice today.
Midfielder Abdulsalam Magash was also on target for the Nigerian ambassadors.
Hearts ran up the scores 4-0 in the first half, before the sealed another comfortable victory with an additional goal after the interval.
Their next game is against Shenyeng tomorrow.
