Chidiebere Nwakali will after all stay put at Norwegian club Sogndal till the end of this season, SCORENigeria has been told.
The 20-year-old midfielder started the new Norwegian season with Sogndal, making 13 appearances for the club thus far.
The FIFA U17 World Cup-winning Golden Eaglets star at Dubai 2013, Scorenigeria.com.ng reports, had recently signed a one-year contract extension with Premier League club Manchester City, who have now further sent defensive midfielder out on loan.
“Chidiebere (Nwakali) will spend the coming season on loan at his Norway club (Sogndal) “, informed Enema Amajiriaku, CEO of Nwakali’s academy club ASJ.
“You know he has signed a new one-year contract extension deal with his English club Manchester City.
“Now Man City have endorsed his further stay with Signal for the coming season”.
After helping Nigeria Golden Eaglets conquer the World in 2013 in Dubai, United Arab Emirates, Chidiebere was snapped up by Manchester City.
‘The Citizens’ later loaned him out to Malaga B of Spain in 2015 soon after he turned 18.
Soon after, he was further shipped out on loan to another Spanish side, Girona, in continuation of his development in 2015/2016 season.
Chidiebere, the immediate older of Kelechi Nwakali, was to spend the 2016 season yet on loan this time at IK start of Norway, where he impressed with 22 appearances and three goals.
His huge mark at IK Start attracted the attention of Sogndal who signed him for this season in Norway.
