Ifeanyi Ubah – Back to cheer his club and he was welcomed back with a super strike

Cote d’Ivoire import Seka Pascal welcomed his club president Patrick Ifeanyi Ubah back to the stadium with an extraordinary strike that handed the Anambra Warriors the lead on 16th minute, less than 30 seconds after the oil magnate took his seat at the VIP stands.

It was Ifeanyi Ubah’s first appearance at the stadium in a long time following his issues with the Nigerian government.

He had hardly taken his seat when Pascal burst from the left to face a hesitant Nasarawa United goalkeeper before he let fly a left-footed effort that hit the roof of the net.

It turned out to be the match winner as the home side laboured all through the 90 minutes to double the lead despite enormous territorial dominance.

It should have been 2-0 in the 39th minute, when John Juan burst through the left, but his low effort was well taken care of by goalkeeper Danladi Umar.

The home side would have doubled their lead a minute after the restart but Chijioke Alakwe’s strike was denied by the post.
