Nigerian-born USA U23 star Fatai Alashe will best forget his first game for Reno FC in the second-tier United Soccer League (USL) after he was sent off after less than half an hour on the pitch.
Alashe bagged a straight red card after just 29 minutes for dangerous play in Thursday’s USL game against hosts OKC Energy, who won the game 1-0.
The defensive midfielder has only just joined Reno FC on loan from San Jose Earthquakes in the Major League Soccer (MLS).
The 23-year-old defensive midfielder’s Quake contract is till the end of this year.
This season, he has played 12 matches for the Earthquakes after he made 28 appearances in the previous season.
He has previously featured for Portland Timbers also in the MLS and Reading United.
