Nigerian midfielder Billy Atiemwen has joined Turkish side Manisaspor from relegated Rizespor.
The midfielder signed a one-year contract with an option of an additional year.
The club’s president Abdullah Mergen told the club’s website that he delighted they have finally signed Atiemwen, who they have wanted since last season.
“Atiemwen is a player we wanted in our team since last season, He’s a very good player. We have a lot of faith that he will score goals and make assists. Atiemwen will adapt quickly to Manisaspor,” he remarked.
Atiemwen said he is delighted to join Manisaspor.
“Manisaspor has had a long interest in me. I really wanted to come here,” he said.
“The serious interest of the president and the board of directors also helped me to decide.
“I will do my best to take Manisaspor back to where they belong.”
