Abduljaleel Ajagun – Looks set to say goodbye to Dutch club Roda JC and join a Belgian club

Former Nigeria youth captain Abduljaleel Ajagun looks set to join Belgian club KV Kortrjik after a loan spell at Dutch club Roda JC, SCORENigeria can exclusively report today.

This past season, former Flying Eagles skipper Ajagun helped Roda stay up in the Dutch top league on loan from Greek club Panathinaikos, where he had struggled for game time.

He scored five goals in 34 league appearances for Roda this past season.

Ajagun, 24, moved to Roda on the recommendation of coach Yannis Anastasiou, who worked with the gifted midfielder at Pana between 2013-15.

Anastasiou has been appointed new Kortrijk coach on a three-year contract after he was sacked as Roda coach.

“He plans to take Ajagun with him to his new Belgian club,” a top source informed SCORENigeria

The former Dolphins star still has a year left on his contract at Pana and it is left to be seen if he will be shipped out on loan or now be sold on a permanent basis.
