MFM FC vs Kano Pillars NPFL action – League matches will soon be back on TV

Matches of the Nigeria Professional Football League (NPFL) are set to return to the television screens, top officials of the League Management Company (LMC) have disclosed.

Nigeria’s top flight matches have been off the screens since Week 14 of the NPFL following issues of foreign exchange availability for the broadcast right holders and the crash of the Naira against the dollars.

“We have been able to resolve the issues,” a top LMC official told SCORENigeria

“As you may have noticed we have been quiet on the matters, this is because we have been meeting in the background but now I can say we have arrived at a decision and the league would be back on the screens in the shortest possible time.”

He added, “I cannot state categorically right now when the live broadcast of matches would begin, it could be this weekend, it could begin from Week 22 and this is because the right holders are working on the schedule.

“Once the schedule gets to me i will be able to say certainly when we are starting.”

The parties involved in this transaction are understood to have met recently in Johannesburg.

Plateau United currently top the Nigeria Professional league table after 20 round of matches.
