Ahmed Musa -It will be difficult for him to be granted a work permit to play for Leicester City should he decide to dump Super Eagles

Officials have warned Leicester City forward Ahmed Musa not to consider calling time on his international career because it could adversely affect his next work permit application in England.

Ahmed Musa is mulling quitting the Super Eagles after those around him claim he has been severally “disrespected” in the national team.

He has already stepped down as Eagles assistant captain after he was overlooked to lead the Eagles in a London friendly against Senegal last week as the captain’s armband was handed to Ogenyi Onazi.

Ahmed Musa – He is now considering quitting Eagles

A team official informed SCORENigeria: “Ahmed remains part of the squad and we don’t want to believe that he has any plans to quit the team.

“He is now on course for a second World Cup appearance after he featured at the 2014 tournament in Brazil.

“And if he is no longer with the Eagles, it could badly affect his next work permit application and that will further raised fears over his Leicester City future.”

Foreign players are required to have played at least 75% of their country’s international games to be granted work permits to ply their trade in the Premier League in England.
