Rangers coach Imama has been ordered to win his next three matches or he will be out of a job

Rangers championship-winning coach Imama Amapakabo and his assistants have been handed a three-match must-win ultimatum beginning from Sunday’s NPFL game at Katsina United.

A press release by Rangers FC director of public relations, media and publicity, Foster Chime, made available to SCORENigeria said that Rangers management after an extra-ordinary emergency meeting on Friday took the decision as a result of what it described as a result of persistent abysmal performance of the club both in the NPFL and the CAF Champions League.

Rangers have crashed out of the Champions League and are now second from bottom of the NPFL on 12 points from 11 matches.

Last season, Imama led ‘The Flying Antelopes’ to end 32 years without a trophy when they landed the championship in fine style.

The decision compelled the Rangers head coach Imama Amapakabo and his technical crew to improve their performance by wining Sunday’s Katsina United match and next two home matches or be ready to step aside.

The managerial meeting chaired by general manager/chief executive, Christian Chukwu equally urged Rangers players to improve on their performance and be committed to up their game in the next three matches, as all eyes are on them to redeem the image of the club in the upcoming CAF Confederation Cup as well as the remaining NPFL matches.
