Kelechi Iheanacho

Manchester City striker Kelechi Iheanacho will lead the Super Eagles attack against Senegal tonight with Ahmed Musa and Moses Simon playing on either flanks.

Iheanacho, whose first-team appearances for his Premier League club have been limited since the arrival of Pep Guardiola, scored in four straight games for the Eagles before he failed to hit target against the Algerians in November.

Ogenyi Onazi

Chelsea loanee Kenneth Omeruo, who is on loan to Turkey from Chelsea, will start at the problematic rightback, just as he did against Algeria in Uyo in November.

Elderson Echiejile keeps his place at leftback.

As first reported by SCORENigeria, none of the uncapped players – Isaac Success, Tyronne Ebuehi, Noah Bazee, Chiedozie Awaziem and Olanrewaju Kayode – will start tonight

The midfield has Ogenyi Onazi, Wilfred Ndidi and Alex Iwobi with Leon balogun and William-Troost Ekong will renew their central defence partnership.

Coach Gernot Rohr has thus kept faith with players he has previously worked with for this big test against one of Africa’s leading teams.

Kick-off time for tonight’s game is 9pm Nigerian time, 8pm GMT, at the Hive Stadium in London.
